The core gameplay persists since release, even since midstage of early access. The Clans offered as DLCs fuel the development of the core game to improve and expand on it.īut i dont see that. Im not saying the Devs shouldnt get payed for their continued effort of improving the game. I cant get rid of the feeling, that this content should have been free. It doesnt change the way i play the game, it doesnt change teamplay for me (in fact rather might hinder teamplay) and it doesnt make the game itself richer. Since these issues persist and synergies between Clans arent there at all, i cant see any gain from having a new Clan. Thats also bound to the issues i have with the game in general as stated above (like missing synergies between Clans). The thing is, that i am majorly a teamplayer (2v2 mostly) and the Ox Clan doesnt provide anything worthwhile. Not entirely a fan of the differences to the Warchief, however. Otherwise, I like how the Ox plan plays on the idea of a smaller, beefier clan. This way, the defender has a grace period to recover their zone and repair their structures instead of simply having one instantly destroyed, especially a costly building like a Horse's Level 2 Tower, or a vital economic building.

This seems silly, as the whole point of the Horse's defensive strategies is meant to slow an aggressive play, not be gibbed by it.įrom a gameplay standpoint, I think it would make more sense for the Ox clan's relic to allow them to charge in and immediately cause all the opponent's buildings in the zone to catch fire (as though their territory was hit by an earthquake) and take about 25% of their max health in damage due to the Ox stomping in, requiring the defending team to deal with the situation immediately using their military units else they lose their buildings as well. Even though it is tied to a relic and is meant to be strong, it also seems to be a hard-counter to clan of the Horse's Level 2 Towers. I also have to admit, I'm not too keen on any ability that is a one-shot KO in a game like this. Reminds me of why I got out of League of Legends a long, long time ago. I find the new clans being plugged in faster than the gamestate needs. Damn Nation:Currently i feel like they are pumping out Clan after Clan as a DLC instead of properly expanding the core game concept.I'm a bit in agreement.
